Starry night over the Rhone /u

A painting depicting the Rhone River, created by Van Gogh during his visit to the Arles region of France.

Through Van Gogh’s artistic expression, the stars—which in the real world are inorganic—are said to have been transformed into fairy-like beings that enhance the night.
